Where does the background music go?
You get two videos: one with only speech, one with only music and ambient sound. Sound effects stay with the music track — splitting music and effects further is a much harder problem, and we don't pretend to solve it.
Do you upload my video?
No. The picture is processed entirely in your browser. Only the audio track — a few MB — is sent for separation, and it's deleted within 24 hours.
What file types and limits?
Videos up to 500 MB and 30 minutes (MP4, MOV, MKV, WEBM), or audio files up to 500 MB and 35 minutes (MP3, WAV, M4A and more). Audio input returns the two stems only. The free trial covers 5 minutes of media length, one time.
Which browsers work best?
Chrome and Edge give the smoothest experience and can save large results to disk. Safari and Firefox work for files up to 500 MB.
